Capabilities
All the engineers at DC White & Partners possess higher degrees in engineering and most have extensive experience of engineering design and failure investigation. We make use of cutting edge software. A sample of the tools available to our engineers and designers include: COSMOSWorks Advanced Professional (Finite Element Analysis) Programming (Bespoke Software) MathCAD AutoCAD LabVIEW FourFourTime (time management software) In addition we have a wide range of instrumentation configured for the investigation of mechanical failures or the characterisation of machine performance. We have the ability to measure displacements, strains, loads, dynamic properties, temperatures and pressures. This is all backed by a specialist technical library covering mechanical, structural and civil engineering disciplines. As an organisation we are a member of HATRICS which gives us access to the widest range of national and international codes, both current and obsolete, in the UK. We are also members of The Weld Institute giving access to material experts and joining and fabrication experts. We have close links with Reading University that gives us access to the academic staff and workshop facilities and regularly take students in the final year of their MEng degree on short-term work placements. |
