The figure above shows a model of a chemical pipeline and manifold system. Finite element analyses were performed using shell elements. The following load cases were addressed:

o       Self Weight

o       Internal Pressure

o       Thermal Expansion

o       Frequency

o       Dynamic Loading

The movements of the system were measured using accelerometers and a post dynamic spectrum analysis performed, which characterises the acceleration data across the entire frequency range.
