| Solidworks
SolidWorks is a state of the art 3D solid modelling and design package. This valuable tool allows us to develop a design much more quickly and thoroughly than the manual 2D drafting method. The advanced mechanism simulation and design checking facilities dramatically speed up product development. The parametric technology significantly reduces the need for expensive prototyping and testing by allowing the designer to simultaneously control all the associated components of a product.
We use SolidWorks successfully to help clients visualise the finished design from the very earliest conceptual stage, these conceptual models can be transmitted by email (eDrawings) to allow clear design intent and detail to be passed to, and understood by, all who need to be involved.
Often the conceptual models are then developed into the actual designed product. From these same 3D models manufacturing drawings are made. Producing manufacturing drawings from the design models allows any change to a design to be incorporated automatically into the associated drawings. This is one more example of how errors are prevented and time and costs saved. Manufacturing drawings can be produced in a variety of file formats, including .dwg and .dxf.
We can offer advanced photo rendering that produces realistic images from a 3D model.
The power of 3D modelling as a sales tool for your ideas should not be underestimated.
eDrawings
An edrawing is an executable file that can be sent to clients enabling them to view either the 3-D SolidWorks model or the drawings for each component without the need to have full Solidworks software installed.

The 3-D model can be manipulated in various ways including section, measuring angles or distances, moving or hiding components. Comments can be added to each drawing which can be e-mailed back to the designer who in turn can add more comments.
The ability to communicate ideas in this way has the potential to speed up the design process and allows the client to see exactly what is being proposed.
